this channel mostly pays homage to the music stars of the past with a few homegrown videos thrown in the mix,,i've been involved with home videos for well over thirty years now,in the early years i got great pleasure in having my friends dress up and making short skits,this at the time was a very new medium ,which created much fun and laughter,,,

Had the great opportunity to meet the founder of the legendary Rock group ,the Doors,Ray Manzarek.i was very lucky to video tape Ray ,have a one on one conversation and Autograph also ,he was playing with Roy Rogers and Band in August 2012,,,this was filmed for (one night only),in a small club of 80 people ( sold out!) in Gravenhurst,Ontario,Canada .This has never been seen by anyone ,before today! 23-02-2022

sadly i got the news today may/20/2013 , that Ray Manzarek has passed,,Ray was videoTaped in Ontario Canada August 10 th of last summer, at a small club in Gravenhurst,one of his last public performances ,could be last,not sure,,,during the show,,he talked to us about, what he thought happens after a person dies,,,,,,,R.I .P Ray,,, hope you made it through the portal ok

Is this really Ray Manzarek performing Crystal Ship or an incredible look alike musician that very closely resembles Ray Manzarek? After all folks… There are a lot of wanna be " Knock off Celebrities " out there. It's a good bet Ray Manzarek has never even been to Ontario Canada ( Muskoka ) before. Only to many celebrities are really wanna be copy cat celebrities.

Downright awesome because it sounds like a classical piece. Even though it came from a Rock song Ray Manzarek made it sound beautiful. The Crystal Ship is one of the best love songs of all time.
That is because Ray had classical training which ment he studied Bach so he naturally incorporated it into his arrangements he brought Bach to Rock.

I saw Ray play solo at BB King Blues Club in Manhattan, over 20 years ago. This was the most memorable song he played for me, I think about it a lot. Thanks for saving this memory.

I know I told this before here... but almost 10 years of his death, I want to do an "up"... I share a drink with him; he signed my "Other Voices" vinyl and had a conversation about 20-30 mins (I lost the sense of time that day). Join when my 10 nephew were born, that was the most amazing day of my life. I miss you Ray. Life is boring without u :-(

This has always been my favorite doors song. Ray by himself gave me chills. The lyrics got me, but it really was Ray's vox that got me the first time I heard the song. I've always admired Manzarek's talent.
